Continuing Education

Continuing education is important to provide ongoing skill development, increase homeopathic knowledge, and remain current within professional standards. Continuing education requirements demonstrate competency and professionalism to our clients, the public at large, other health professionals, government and the insurance industry. Obtaining the required number of continuing education hours per year helps ensure the highest standard of homeopath care.

Below is a list of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) categories and corresponding point allocations.  Each Registered Member, Resident Member and Associate Member is required to complete 12 CEU’s over the course of 1 Membership year (April 1st– March 31st) in order to be able to continue to uphold full professional membership with BCAH.

A minimum of 6 CEUs must be obtained from Category A activities, while a maximum of 6 CEUs can be obtained from Category B activities. This is to ensure that practicing homeopaths maintain their competency, while recognizing other relevant healthcare training.

In order to qualify for CEUs, a conference, seminar, webinar, course, or training program must provide a certificate of completion.

Please visit our Events listing for Continuing Education courses.
